I would like to share some pictures of my short-tailed opossums. Amazing, friendly marsupials. Last week my female gave birth to 10 little pink worms

Here's the male

He also doesn't like it when you wake him up

Here are 2 pictures of the female, taken yesterday, hopefully she knows what to do, it's her first litter

I will keep you updated on the little ones

I wonder these marsupials have so much offspring comaparing with mine Petaurus breviceps which usually have 1 or 2...

The babies are about 4 weeks old now and doing really well

Sugar gliders, Petaurus breviceps, like most Australian/Asian marsupial species only get a few babies. The North and South American species can get a lot more. This species can get a maximum of 13, that's the number of nipples she has.

Here are a few pictures of my Sugar gliders, unfortunately I don't have them anymore

Hi Mikhail,

I sold them all in December, but as far as I know they all have a happy life. Maybe I will try to breed them again soon, don't know yet.

My male and female suddenly died a few weeks ago. The male without any sign and the female was 2 days a bit ill.

But if you really want them, I can get them for you, if you're able to import them from the Netherlands.

Please can someone tell me at what age do you have to
separate mum from babies, do they all have to have individual
cages/homes at this stage?
