I am looking to find out what are the best books on Myriapods in general, but on Centipedes in particular.

Could you list your top three, please?

Cheers! cheers.gif

I know that Stefan (Phalagorn) have a really good book on centipedes. It contains care and anatomy. Even some descriptions of afew species. Dont remember what the book is called but I can ask him.

"I see the Raven... His wings are ousting sky
He's soaring above the death like a black shadow
That's the soul of Prussian land.

Tears will wash off blood from my sword
The raindrops will extinguish the fire of hatred in my heart
And with the pure sense of a free man
I will head for Eternity via the path of Glory..."

A fishmoth is an insect that modernly feeds (if I'mm not mistaken) on the glue that binds books together. Also knows as Silverfish (in the US).

Sci Name: Lepisma saccharina (or verious other, as there are many species with the same common name).

Here it is. wink.gif

The Giant Centipedes of the Genus Scolopendra. By: Carl Sandefer.
44 pages, full color photos, bibliography. This book is published by Sandefer himself and is a good overview of the captive care and husbandry of the centipedes of the Genus Scolopendra. A good selection of color photos with detailed text on the topics of reproduction, molting, rearing of young, taxonomy and general care.

A - much belated - thank you for the info. Is the book freely available? If not, do you have an address on Carl?

Cheers

I know the site, Atropos and it is indeed a good one, though I remember posting several questions to Steven, but received no reply.
