My P.Metallica on the one occasion she came out from behind her log.

She really doesn't show her face much, which is a shame as she's stunning.

Thanks Shroom, Alex and Ota!
I always use simple hammock style incubator, easyest ussualy works best. smile.gif Similar to those described by Ray...
just plastic container, with no holes, instead open once a day. With some vermaculite in the botton, to provide humidity. It keeps moist for over a month...
And some, don't know how to say it in english, that stuff for bandages to keep eggs. laugh.gif
And between paper cloth. That's it. smile.gif

Used to practice other things, but like i said, simple ussualy works best. wink.gif
Oh, and I keep it with no additional heat source or something, just room temp. which I keep around 25-27C at day, and a few degrees lower at night, around 22-24C.

ps. Ota, I didn't count eggs one by one, just open photo in paintbrush and put dots on eggs, that's how I count them... biggrin.gif

Best regards Uros

P.smithi, molted 3 days ago. If I'm right, not confirmed by spermateca, just from ventral sexing, I have one female and two males.

I got this P.smithi from Simon - I have studied the markings of this spider and it does not deviate in any way from any reference whatsoever. If these spiders were "tainted" in anyway - they could not possibly match exactly. I have also been conned in the recent past with hybrids - and these look like the real deal.

Please feel free to post ventral shots of any of these other smithi - (the certified ones) and prove me wrong.

Best wishes Mal.

Thanx Uros,

Can't see any difference there. So as they say - if it has webbed feet, a bill and it says quack - it's a duck wink.gif

Nobody says that they don't look the same.

Hybrids of smithi in the hobby most look like smithi than pederseni, so close that the have the same markings. But the bloodline is not pure.

If you wanna think that you have real smithi only because that they look like....
