Hi All,
Just a quick question - do the dorsal 'slits' in the setae of the patella (and dorsal surfaces of other leg structures at times) have a name? (they are obvious on many species like T.blondi as parting of the setae with exoskeleton visible underneath) I had a quick look in Foelix and a couple other books but could not find reference to these structures.. I've been asked a few times what they are called and whether they have any function and admit I was stumped for a functional answer. --------------------
