could be the dark form of S.nobilis,cant see the front of the abdomen-nobilis has the white band across the front but i think grossa may have it too, i am no expert im affraid but have plenty living around here in Somerset.

Yup Alex all the grossa iv seen round here have that marking on the anterior of the abdomen (i think i posted a pic here for ID some time back when i first saw them in my area) id think a dark grossa would be more lightly then nobilis but im just going on thinking grossa is more wide spread at the moment and nothing morphological, i love Theridiids but can't claim any great knowledge on them.
