Hi
Brought 8 of these as large green caterpillars at KWH last April. Well I guess you could say I had some good luck with them! smile.gif

Hey Chris,
I have been wanting to try moths. What are you feeding them and what type of set up are you using?

I have been keeping Samia cynthia for a few generations like 10 years ago, but if you want to be sure that they mate, it is better to have at least 30 pupas.
But 30 big caterpillars eat far too much to keep them again IMHO ! smile.gif
I have been bringing them like 2 large bags of green food each day. head.gif

Hi Brian
Just feeding them beach leafs and a few other types of leaf that I don't know the name off. They seem to eat it though with no seemmingly ill effects. At the moment because of size I just keep them in a small tubb with leafs in but as they grow I'm not sure what the plan is (except to drop a load off at Eddys so they can anoy his cat wink.gif ) . Other than that I suppose a larger tubb lol.
they are good fun though.....I think! hum.gif
cheers
Chris
