Nice ozzy finches Mikhail, i used to think of having Cardinal's as a lad to, had mostly European finches and canaries while I had an aviary, but ringing native finches to comply with the law was pain though so I used to let there offspring go

Hello Bill!
Thanks, I do not specialised in finches for a long time, but just syart to collect them again recently (about 2 years ago). Long time ago I had a lot of them in home, not just like this time... Birds needs too mach time and attention and lot of birds need a lot of the time... But I like them much and can't got rid of them totally.. just my favs... ![]() As for native birds in Russia we have a limited catching licenses but such possibility is existing... and some of the common birds are catchs and sells in zoo-markets... I also have some friends who can catch birds species by order (2 weeks ago I was presented by a local migratory bunting Emberisa species - E. aureola). The Red Cardinals are stunning birds, but still impossible to find in Russia :( Here is one of my aviaries (right-in fact only two I have for now) and two cages (now I do not have them). Hello Juan!
THanks and I wouldn't mind if You send me several of these Yellow Cardinals ![]() And Red Cardinal is not threatened species and not CITES included, but is a "fetish" in USA and Canada that's why it is prohibited to sell... Hi!
Strange, they're in fact not very rare. Just a highly secretive and quiet nocturnal species that's why seldom seen. Thanks! -------------------- All the best,
