If I remember correctly (ive never had these before but ive talked with a friend who has)

These arent so jumpy or skitterish as some other huntsman, and the venom is really very low risk. Definately handlable anyway.

BTW ive been looking for some of these for AGES AND AGES.

I love huntsman, can I buy a few slings off you?

Hi,

It's getting pretty cold here, I think it's not reasonnable to send slings now rolleyes.gif I promise to do all my best to keep enough alive for next spring.
At this time I will post a message to let you know (hoping there will be enough, you make me work !!)

Matthijs, the female is kept without particular conditions, she hasn't any retreat and made her sack in a corner of the tank. For this female, temperature wasn't high before and during incubation (20C max), though higher temperature is also appreciated. I can tell you precisely how much time it took between mating and egg laying, but it was less than 2 months.

BakuBak, the size is approximately 12-15 cm leg span (male often bigger than female, this didn't prevent him to be eaten...). I think the venom is not that dangerous. The spider always prefers escaping (very quickly) than biting. However this female was aggressive as I took its eggsack covered with slings. The species growths quite quickly (less than one year). It is told that many slings can live in one tank without big troubles, I 'll try to see. The mating position is particular (I'll post a photo);

If you've got other questions, I'll try to answer smile.gif
Yours

Alex

The young have been growing together without any problems sofar.
